I can't see the light! Im lost without my photoshop

My laptop has been out of commission for a long time and I've been using my parents ancient desktop pc. This thing is practically decrepit....and senile. It will all of a sudden just shut down... or restart...or force me to close all of my open webpages. I know that its the internal fan, we've replaced then damn thing enough times.
In all honesty it's probably my fault. Well it's definately my fault with the laptop, its mostly my fault for the pc haha. I am not a careful browser. And I wasn't updating.
For everyone out there that doesn't know, IT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO UPDATE!! I would always be too impatient to let my windows updates, my driver updates, my ANTIVIRUS updates for god's sake, actually finish downloading. It was a terrible mistake.
I also will download anything and everythign out there...so that, plus not having an up to date virus scanner, equals system crash. It was basically useless.
So I found out that to fix it, I just need to restore it back to factory state.
How pathetic is that. I did so bad with my laptop the first time that I have to try a do-over lol. So I restored it (took like, 45 mins tops) and have to start all over again.

omg, btw, my parents brought me home a spinache dip from the pub when they brought wings home for dinner (Im a veg

) and I just wolfed that puppy down...It was delicious. Thought you should know.
-------------
So now I have no photoshop because my parents computer wont let me keep the damn program open for more than 20 min. at a time without throwing a hissy fit.
I know I can here it now, "Wow Jess, you're bringin' me down with your doom and gloom". But have no fear, there IS a silver lining to this mushroom cloud and THAT...is that my mom is bringing me home a copy of CS3 to install on my computer tonight!!!

(I was using CS2 incase you can't find the significance of why that is so awesome to me lol) I'm pretty excited to try it, I've heard some mixed reactions... I can't beleive there's already a CS4!! It seems like there was such a huge gap in time between CS2 and CS3, and like none at all between 3 and 4. Anybody else feel this way?
Oh well, Ill probably just snag a copy of CS4 from my mom anyway once they get it at her work.
Sooo there's my story

Was it an emotional roller coaster for you too?
